Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is relationship-focused psychotherapy. It is not a space for a counselor to decide who is right, assign blame, or tell a couple whether they should stay together. The work is intended to help both people understand their interaction patterns, communicate more clearly, and make intentional choices about the relationship.

Discernment Counseling

Unlike traditional couple therapy, which assumes both partners want to work on the relationship, D.C. acknowledges that the couple may not be on the same page. As stated, one partner is usually the “leaning-out” spouse—considering separation or divorce—while the other is the “leaning-in” spouse, fighting for reconciliation.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling, also called individual therapy or psychotherapy, is a structured form of mental health care designed around one person’s needs, goals, and history. In sessions, you and your therapist discuss the concerns that brought you in, identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, and develop practical and emotional tools for moving forward.

Family Counseling

Family counseling is a discipline of therapy focused on finding solutions for the challenges and complexities that may arise in family life. clinicians work to improve communication among family members and adjust the dynamics between members of the family that may result in dysfunction.
