Both are talk therapies for mental well-being but counseling is typically short-term and psychotherapy is generally long-term, exploring deeper, complex emotional, behavioral, or past-rooted.

What to expect for your first visit:

Your first appointment will be an intake. During the intake, together we review your personal, medical, and family history. Assess current symptoms and define treatment goals. We handle administrative tasks like insurance, consent forms, cancelation policy, and explaining confidentiality. Furthermore, a risk assessment will be conducted to check for immediate safety concerns.
